Lady Cloud - A Poem
LADY CLOUD
Far up and away in the sky
there lived a lady who could only cry.
She smiled for no one nor laughed with glee,
but sighed with her head hung and said, "Pity me".
For alone she was there, this sad little cloud, way
up where the sun wears a shroud. No friends to come
calling, no parties, no laughter.
Just lonely tears falling down chimneys and
rafters. The rain is her sorrow, the wind her
sweet sighs. No sunshine tomorrow for the lady in the sky.
